First Student Report on the East Coast

Many folks have been part of reviewing the Journey for Justice: The Life of Larry Itliong manuscript. From university academics and journalists, to librarians, teachers, students and families. One of our reviewers, Lucenna, actually did a report on Larry Itliong based on the manuscript. So proud to see a student doing one of the first reports on Larry Itliong using this book. She gave us some good comments on the manuscript as well. One of them being, she was confused about the difference between a farm worker and a farmer. That's a great comment and we'll be sure to clarify that in the book. If you're not sure, a farm worker is the hired laborer who works the land, from working the soil to growing the plants to harvesting the fruit or vegetable. Farmers are the land owners who hire the farm worker to work on their land for a specific crop season. I hope that makes sense and if it doesn't we'll be sure to clarify in the book for educators, students and families.
